I am trying to find a fence to keep my large active dogs out of my garden.  Does anybody have any suggestions?

Do you need a tall fence to physically keep them out or just a low fence to use more as a visual for the dogs (in training them to stay out of the garden)?  Maybe just a low metal fold-up kind of fence, the type often used as edging along a flower bed.  Then, whenever the dogs cross it into the garden, tell them "no, out of the mud" or something like that.  You may have to walk into the garden and lead them out while saying these words.  Don't punish them, but let them know you're not happy.  After a while, my dog learned that when I say "out of the mud" to jump out of the flower bed and go back onto the grass area.

Chain link is the most cost effective but not too pleasing to the eye. A short vinyl fence may do the job.
