Any ideas on what tree will grow on the south side of a steel quonset, populars won't

at the heat of the day  when sun beating down, probably from noon until 3PM - take the air temperature - from the hut, and then go out every 12" - perhaps  the heat off the steel is frying the mitrochondria in the trunk and branches...when the air temperature becomes the same as the rest of your property -  you could put in a trial tree line from there on out...suggestion, replant in early September when the sun not so strong...this year the UV reached highs of 10 and 12 and many plants suffered some scorching..but they will come back as long as the roots are well established.. Water deeply weekly...
